We will often begin the day with writing. You can bring in your own idea to write about or you can choose to write about the daily prompt.

SACRED WRITING TIME DAILY PROMPT:

“Is a nickname always fair?  Write the story (truth or fiction) about someone earning his or her nickname.”

Today, we need to finish the reading diagnostic we started last week.

We have completed #1 of “Is the Law too Soft on Crime?” that asked us to preview the text features and write a series of questions that we believe the text will answer.

Now I would like you to read the selection and answer the remaining questions.

Next, we will complete a Snapshot book review activity that will help us find books that we really want to read.
